Metal and Beyond

I’m Billy Powell in case yall didn’t me by anything other than surak of 777. I've been playing music, mostly of the Heavy Metal or Hard Rock for 18 years. I started with a band called "Gate 7" in Charleston SC, and I was also in a Metallica cover band "The Harvesters" for short time. Now I'm pretty much doing my thing here for yall to enjoy. As a metal-head and listener I’ve found a few gems here and there I’d like to share with yall.
Let's start with one of my absolute favorites, and one of the first artist I heard here. His music led me into knowing what I could do with Garageband was MadScientist. His using double bass drums impressed me and I knew I’d found home. One of my favorites of his is Wake up!
The second one I heard was the collab band project_overlord. I was very impressed with their work and craftsmanship. This was the first collab band I had heard. All of their songs are good... just pick
Another good one I ran across, back in the day was Agrippa93. He’s saying he was to come out with a CD, so let’s wish him luck! He's got some good heavy tunes, Check out Isolation.
Moving on I found metfuel. Even though we’ve done a few of the same songs (each are unique and worth a listen!) and we are both Metallica fans, he deserves a listen too. My Favorite is his cover of Nothing Else Matters.
Now on to some new guys yall might not know about....
shaggysivirus’s got a project called darkhatred. A good one to listen to is Mayhem at the Ministy.
One of the artist I want to mention is hacked_to_pieces. You guys got to dig the evil spongebob/maiden logos icon he has, if nothing else. Give a listen to PodXT Metal.
A good one who’s got a few metal tunes, Hyadis. The one I like is Common Ground.
One more to check out is eviltoast. A good song by them is Hilton. I think it rocks!
And last but not least of the artists, is my good friend slapshot. He has some tunes from his old band up Exact. They remind my of my old band Gate 7 enough to give him a mention. His last upload was a good live one. He doesn't like the mix (or rather he apologizes for it). I do like, and it's Long Ride.
A few separate songs to listen to that I like...
Give a listen to Return of the Doppelganger by KeithOtis. I was really impressed by it.
A good one to laugh at by Splifford, it's some good 80's metal Powerlord.
A really good Black Sabbath (Godfathers of Metal!) cover to listen is Supernaut by KidIcarus.
Don't get whiplash bang your head to This thing, as it's got good guitars, and it's all around cool by PlusUltra. is Headboard Concussion.
And this thing my current favorite heavy track that sounds like an Ozzy tune from any era with some good guitars and bass also by PlusUltra. And it is In This Word .
A good funny instrumental to listen to is My Dog's Brain by phrankee.
This was a really good Mercyful Fate (80's metal) cover I ran across The Old Oak.
And one I found in passing as it was the bunnies the brought me here Circle of Fluffy Bunnies. I give it 5 bunnies.
It is by the aforementioned hacked_to_pieces.
Here's one more good one by empirialdark .Their song I like is Frost as it is quite heavy.
